  1. There are more coasters that suffer from this bug: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/3564
  2. Usually no new features are added for something that can be done with custom objects, but this one might be useful for most players so I suppose it has a chance once the decompiling, bugfixing and free assets are done. I thinks it's better to split it into 4 triangular shapes attached to each of the sides if it's going to make it in.
  3. Change the ride mode to something that doesn't require a complete loop (like powered launch) or make the base track a complete loop and hide the unused track pieces with the tile inspector (add a corrupted element directly below the track piece).
  4. With the current datastructure, not. The data for the ground type needs to be doubled + 1 for which diagonal it is. Compatibility with the original game needs to be broken before this can happen. The windows and surface paint which need to be changed are already implemented.
  5. As a general rule, if there are two tracks of different coasters on the same spot, the train follows the track that is built first. So first build the track you want the train to follow after it has passed the merge, then build the track the train comes from. Otherwise it will crash.
  6. When block sectioned mode is toggled the behaviour only changes for stations and top-of-chainlifts. Block brakes always check if there's a train in front of them. This can give some unexpected situations indeed: I think the best solution would be to disable the normal continuous circuit mode if there are block brakes on the track.

    1. Pick a random ride (preferably not a coaster) 2. Look at what others did with it in other parks 3. Try to merge the best parts of what you've seen into something better 4. Don't be afraid
  8. It wants you to select the RCT2 folder, not OpenRCT2. You must have the original game installed to play OpenRCT2.

New rides get a lot more favourites than others, and luck plays a role as well.
  10. This is in the changelog, the most common place for non-dev players to find out if there are new features: - Fix: [#2958] Unable to import RCT1 parks in the scenario editor using the load landscape dialog. The game shouldn't just crash when something went wrong.
  11. There should be an option in the launcher to manually select the RCT2 folder (not the OpenRCT2 folder, nor the data folder inside the RCT2 folder).

I didn't touch that thing, someone indeed broke it. Guests are getting stuck between Splinter and Sherwood Heights.

Found and reported two more issues Added 'Turbo Tunnel' (does anyone know that ride?) Improvements are welcome, as well as extending the area. Do NOT use the mountain tool near that pit. Fixed a pathing issue (the two toilets near kiddie coaster caused it), look at all those guests heading home Park rating is back at 950+ Added a new toilet type and used it a few times. The number of guests that need one is reduced by 40% now. Started working on Monster Jam scenery, will continue on it once one of the reported bugs is fixed. Feel free to improve the already built parts. Not Turbo Tunnel, but Cruise is somehow the most favourited ride now. The shortcut path near Cruise was preventing guests from entering cruise, fixed that, and made it look better as well (and fixed some clearance issues with the path/scenery above it) Reduced (or eliminated) the chance of a crash on cruise The OpenRCT Group Park 3.42.sv6 Finally I can really like how some of my scenery turned out. Thanks for all feedback and improvements on it. Claimed: - Queue: @cascadia, Philmon11, Wuis, Dan, Broxzier, jensj12 Missed: Imlegos, SuperVarken, ziscor
  14. This is what comes closest I think. Not trackpad, but touchscreen, it might make a trackpad work as well: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/pull/3081 If you know how to compile OpenRCT2 you can give that branch a go to see if it works (probably not) and give feedback on it, but only do that if you know what you're doing.

Work in progress: Also added a new toilet type and placed it in multiple places. ~200 guests needed it. Since Broxzier fixed the tile inspector on his own branch I might be able to finish that part too tomorrow. Exams went very well, and even better than that, I've been selected for the national team for the international olympiad in informatics in Russia this year.

Claimed: jensj12 Queue: Cascadia, Philmon11, Wuis, Dan, Broxzier Missed: Imlegos, SuperVarken, ziscor The tile inspector still crashes the game. I've filed an issue for it on github last time and it hasn't been fixed yet. For now it means I can't finish my monster jam ride. Broxzier, your ride has a lot of on-ride waiting time, it might even reach the same capacity with 3 trains instead of 4.
  17. If you want cheats, you first have to enable them in the options menu and then you can find a golden shovel on the top toolbar in-game. Clicking on it opens a window, but it has a dropdown menu as well.

I should be able to finish my last exam tomorrow and claim it just in time before reaching the time limit. Already thinking what I might build.....
  19. Don't expect people to simply 'use cheats'. That's cheating... If you don't want crashes, you need to design your coaster carefully and there now seems to be an exploit. If it is diferent than vanilla, you can file an issue for it on GitHub. It means something went wrong in the decompiling process or another change accidentially changed it.
  20. It's on the CD, which, when using steam, is inside the RCTDeluxe install directory.
  21. I remember having some issues with saving track designs (with scenery) too lately which I didn't yet investigate. If you want it to be fixed sooner, you can file an issue on github or talk about it in the gitter chat. Thanks for reporting.
  22. I never use it either, so I can confirm this bug. I'll make an issue for it. https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/3681
  23. Here the Steel Twister Roller Coaster type (I'm still used to call it steel hyper twister) just shows the designs from all twister rollercoaster types as if 'select rides by track type (RCT1 style)' turned on (I have it off). Doesn't happen on other rides.

I noticed when assigning a mechanic to the tower that it's impossible to set the height of a patrol area, sadly. Should have assigned a handyman too. @Broxzier you're now allowed to take your turn.
  25. I woud vote against simply increasing the base queue time tolerance. 'Pausing' or slowing down the in-queue timer when guests have other things to do (watch tv/entertainer, drink/eat something) would be better. If you want a long queue, make sure the coaster has a good capacity as well. More guests in the queue means more guests getting on the ride means more happiness and more money, changing the queue time tolerance would change game balance.
